I Tried the FlipGo Dual Monitor — Here's What Surprised Me

FlipGo by JSAUX Review: A Game-Changing Dual-Screen External Monitor

If you're on the hunt for a sleek, space-saving dual-screen monitor, you're going to want to hear about this. I’ve got my hands on one of the coolest external monitors on the market right now — the FlipGo by JSAUX — and I’m breaking it all down for you in today’s review.

This monitor started life as a Kickstarter project, but it quickly blew past its initial goal thanks to major buzz in the tech community. JSAUX is a company I’ve covered before in relation to the ROG Ally, but the FlipGo marks their first major move outside of the handheld gaming accessory space.

Disclosure: JSAUX did send me the FlipGo to review, but they are not seeing this post before it goes live and have no input on my thoughts. Everything here is my own honest opinion.

🛍️ Purchase Options: Sizes, Resolutions & Accessories

The FlipGo comes in three different sizes — 13.3”, 15.6”, and 16” — with screen resolution options ranging from 1080p to 1440p. The price scales with screen size and quality, so there’s something here for everyone depending on your budget and setup needs.

  • 13.3” – Ideal for ultra-portable use on the go

  • 16” and 17.3” – Best for immersive desktop setups

Each model can be customized with different accessory bundles. While the base package includes the FlipGo monitor and a foldable stand, JSAUX also offers upgrades like:

  • The FlipGo Magnetic Stand – Adds height and better stability

  • The FlipGo Protective Case – Doubles as a stand and offers great travel protection

🖥️ Screen Quality & Build

Let’s talk visuals — and trust me, the FlipGo delivers.

The screen quality is top-tier: bright, vibrant colors and crisp details that shine in both professional and gaming setups. One of the most impressive features is how versatile the design is. It folds like a book, giving you two screens in the footprint of one.

That said, there is a fold in the middle, so I wouldn’t recommend it as your primary monitor if you’re going for a seamless screen. However, as a secondary or dual-screen setup, it’s fantastic. It saves tons of desk space without sacrificing function.

In terms of materials, JSAUX didn’t cut corners. The FlipGo feels solid and premium, not plasticky or cheap. It even supports VESA mounting, giving you loads of flexibility for mounting arms or wall setups.

⚙️ Setup & Usability

Setting up the FlipGo is ridiculously easy. JSAUX sent me most of the available accessories for testing, but honestly, you only need what you’ll actually use.

The included stand lets you set it up vertically or horizontally with ease, but if you want something a bit more solid, the magnetic stand is a worthy upgrade. It's not perfect — the magnets can be a little hit or miss — but it provides better height and holds the monitor fairly well.

What I love most: only one cable is needed to power both screens. That keeps your desk setup clean and clutter-free — a major plus if you're all about aesthetics and minimalism.

✅ Pros

  • Crisp, vibrant dual screens in a compact form factor

  • Only one cable needed for both screens – a rare and awesome feature

  • Great build quality – feels solid and looks sharp

  • VESA compatibility for flexible mounting options

  • Foldable design saves space while still being portable

  • Super easy setup – plug, play, and go

❌ Cons

  • Magnetic stand is a little weak and can be knocked off if bumped

  • Stand wobbles at max height – not ideal for high setups

  • Learning curve with the FlipGo Portfolio case (but it gets easier)

  • Thick bezels – can be distracting for some users

  • Not ideal for older MacBooks (early 2020 models can only support one screen at a time)

  • Portability could be better – there are slimmer options if you travel often

🧠 Final Thoughts

The FlipGo by JSAUX is a seriously innovative dual-screen monitor that caters to both stationary setups and semi-mobile use. While it’s not the most compact option on the market, its versatility, clean setup, and solid build quality make it a standout product.

It’s especially great for anyone who wants to maximize screen space without the mess of multiple monitors and cables. If you’re tired of clutter and want a simple, plug-and-play dual monitor that just works — the FlipGo should definitely be on your radar.
